CF26/CP26 - Manpower and Force Management

Introduction to ACTEDS

Army Regulation 690-950, Civilian Personnel Career Management, defines Army civilian career programs and the management structure of career programs. The Army uses Position Descriptions (PDs) to align civilian personnel to one of thirty-one civilian career programs.

The Army Civilian Training, Education and Development System (ACTEDS) is a Department of the Army program designed to provide for the systematic training and development of Army civilians. ACTEDS is a competency-based approach to provide Army civilians with the right kinds of training at the right points in their careers. It blends formal training, on-the-job training (OJT), education, developmental assignments, and self-development activities.

Please note: Selection of employees for training opportunities and programs in this plan will be made without regard to political preference, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, disability, age or sexual orientation.
