MEMORANDUM FOR HEADQUARTERS, TRAINING AND DOCTRINE COMMAND,

SUBJECT: Continuing Education for Senior Leaders (CESL)

1. HQ TRADOC's request to add the CESL course to the Civilian Education System (CES) curriculum has been reviewed and approved.
2. DCS G-37 policy will provide senior level Army civilians who have completed the CES Advanced Course or equivalent and not completed a Senior Service College an opportunity to refine their skills and potential for the Department of Defenses's future contemporary operating environment. Complete CESL policy and requirements will be documented in AR350-1 along with the other civilian leader development programs.
3. DCS G-37 CES resources will centrally fund Army civilians attending CESL courses. Military and DoD attendees will be funded by their organizations.
