SUBJECT: COMPRESSED WORK SCHEDULES (CWS) FOR NONAPPROPRIATED FUND (NAF) EMPLOYEES

1. EFFECTIVE UPON RECEIPT, ALL NAF EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING NON EXEMPT NF PAY BAND EMPLOYEES, ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN CWS PROGRAMS WITHOUT INCURRING AN OVERTIME ENTITLEMENT UNTIL EIGHTY (80) HOURS ARE WORKED IN A BI-WEEKLY PAY PERIOD.

2. FOR CRAFT AND TRADES EMPLOYEES (NA, NL, NS) NOT WORKING AN APPROVED CWS, OVERTIME ENTITLEMENTS ARE FOR HOURS WORKED OVER EIGHT (8) HOURS A DAY OR FORTY (40) HOURS PER WEEK. FOR NF AND CC EMPLOYEES NOT WORKING AN APPROVED CWS, OVERTIME ENTITLEMENTS ARE FOR HOURS WORKED OVER FORTY (40) HOURS PER WEEK.

3. THIS IS A PERMISSIVE CHANGE IN STATUTE GRANTING AUTHORITY NOT PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE. EXISTING LABOR AGREEMENTS, WHICH LIMIT THIS ... AUTHORITY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL RENEGOTIATED.
