TAB B (Redeployment of Civilians)
to APPENDIX 11 (redeployment) to ANNEX E (Personnel)
to The Army Mobilization and Operations Planning and Execution System (AMOPES) (U)
- (U) The redeployment of civilian personnel assigned TDY to the theater of operations will be decided by the appropriate commander. The commander will terminate the assignment and arrange return transportation to the redeployed person's permanent duty station via deployment point. DACs will normally be redeployed as individuals through the same CRC/deployment site that originally processed them for deployment to the theater of operation once the decompression is over. When possible, turn-in of organizational and personal equipment will be accomplished at the issuing activity, or at the permanent duty station. Turn-in of equipment and other administrative processing may occur at different location if an IDP has been activated. The employee will receive medical screening, debriefing, and return equipment, if appropriate. The time apart at the central processing center will be the minimum required to complete the necessary administrative procedures.
- (U) Redeployment will be as individuals. Once equipment is turned in, the individual will be flown to home station after the responsible permanent duty station supervisor has been notified of the redeployment action.
- (U) Civilians will be included in welcome home ceremonies at CONUS APOD or SPOD and provided transportation to home station as quickly as possible.
- (U) Upon arrival at home station, employees will be met by former supervisory officials and administratively processed for return to duty (medical and dental examinations and treatment, benefit and allowance claims processed, counseling given on additional benefits and entitlements, turn-in official passports, etc.). Civilians will be recognized at appropriate command assemblies and receive authorized awards.
- (U) Commanders may authorize a reasonable amount of administrative leave upon arrival at home station. Such leave for morale, welfare, or other purposes would be based upon the specific situation presented by civilian employee needs.
