As a supervisor, you are the key component for an effective Army Civilian Acculturation Program. The program is primarily designed for all newly hired civilians and can be used for transferring or returning employees that come to your organization. This site provides a variety of resources to assist you, your staff and new employees with a successful onboarding experience. Supervisors should actively participate in the onboarding process by:
- Completing the Supervisor Checklist
- Monitoring your employee’s progress through the onboarding process
- Participating in the onboarding events
Co-workers’ Role. Serve as Ambassadors during new employees’ onboarding process by serving as sponsors, assisting new employees, and recommending any improvements during their acculturation experience.

- Embed a clear message that Mission Success, Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage are what we value.
- Embed a clear understanding of what the Army Profession is all about.
- Ensure that they understand their job, their organization, performance expectations, and their developmental goals.
- Ensure that they have the time, opportunity, and resources to complete their training and perform their job to the best of their ability.
