As part of an ongoing effort to live the new civilian human resource vision, "Maximizing Human Potential to Meet the Army's Mission," I want to remind all of our continuous need to take care of people. The aforementioned reference contains detailed guidance on Sponsorship Programs.

In the haste of mission accomplishment, we often neglect the most valuable resource - our human capital. In order to attract and retain the best and the brightest, we must ensure that employees' first impression of the Army as a corporate body is favorable. Establishing and executing a strong sponsorship program for new interns (and other new employees) will help to ensure that first impression is a healthy one.
